Hello, everyone. This is Monica again. Today, we're going to talk about acute pressure and insomnia, which is the difficulty in falling asleep or staying asleep, all different kinds. Insomnia is a very common sleep disorder that can last from 3 nights to a week, that is called acute insomnia; or it can last from 3 nights in a week to 3 months or more, that can be a chronic insomnia. Some people feel insomnia coming and going. Different types of insomnia. Many people have difficulty falling asleep. Some people feel that they are waking up often at night. Dream disturbed insomnia or people wake up so early in the morning and cannot fall back to sleep again. There are different, all these different kinds of insomnia. Today, we are going to show you a few points that can help you to fall back to sleep.

One of the points that is in our hand, follow the thumb, when you feel the dip, if you move your thumb out and in, you will feel that hole in that area. That point is Lung 9. People when they have the problem waking up early in the morning and cannot fall back to sleep, this is the great point to press. Point is pressed for 20-30 seconds in circular motion, 2 to 3 times in a day.

The next point is across the wrist line, exactly the other side of the wrist. This point is Heart 7. This is a must-point for the sleep disorder because it nourishes the blood, calms the mind, for agitation, and fear, and it releases the palpitation and stress. This point, again, use it in circular motion for 30-60 seconds, 2 to 3 times a day.

Next point, when you go in the midline of the wrist crease, if you bend forward, you see there's 2 tendons, 3 fingerbreadths and the point is in between these two tendons. You brush it in circular motion. This is another great point to calm the anxiety. Great point to deal with the emotions, stress, and fear – these are the causes for your insomnia. Next point is behind your earlobe. Behind the earlobe, you have a dip. If you go towards your scalp, you will fall in another dip. And that is the great point to press because it's called in Chinese medicine the “insomnia point”. Many, many times you will feel this point is very tender when you are having sleeping disorders. Again, this point is from your earlobe, go straight towards the skull and you fall in a dip. This point is for insomnia of any kind. It releases your mind from stress and anxiety.

There is one more point that is back of the skull, this is called GB20. This point relaxes your neck and shoulder tension. Many times, your insomnia can be because of your pillow, right posture during sleep. This point helps you with your neck pain or the shoulder pain so that you can relax on your bed and sleep properly.

Again, a few points that we are showing today is Lung 7, when you put your thumb up and down, you feel the hole in that area; next point is across the wrist on the other side; third point is in between this tendon, three fingerbreadths below; behind earlobe; go straight towards the skull, and then another point is on the back of the skull. All these points that you can use for 30-60 seconds, 2 to 3 times, and 2 to 3 times a day.

While doing these points, relax, calm yourself down, and take a deep breath. The causes for insomnia many times are worry, anger, medication, stress, irregular diet, irregular sleep patterns, at childbirth, or alcohol, and caffeine. In this pandemic world right now that we are going through, all this can definitely cause insomnia in your life, and these are the points that you can use to help yourself sleep better.
